RESOLUTION 02-111 1
APPROVING SPECIAL EXCEPTION OF HEIGHT FOR THE SKYBOX AT THE
FOOTBALL STADIUM
IN THE NAME AND BY THE AUTHORITY OF THE CITY OF WAUKEE,IOWA
WHEREAS,the Waukee School System is erecting a skybox at the football stadium,
which is in an area zoned A-I;AND,
WHEREAS,the height of buildings in an A-I zoned land is limited to 40 feet without
special exception granted by the Waukee City Council (Section 301.26(A»;AND,
WHEREAS,Dennis Dowell has reviewed the specs on this project and recommends
approving the special exception,which would allow the skybox to be built to a height of
54 feet.
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED by the City of Waukee City Council in
session this 5th day of August 2002 that it hereby approves a special exception of height
for the skybox at the football stadium.
