HomeMy WebLinkAbout2002-12-16-Resolutions 02-191_Collective Bargaining Agr - AmendmentTHE CITY OF WAUKEE,IOWA RESOLUTION 02-191 I APPROVING AN AMENDMENT TO THE CITY OF WAUKEE AND CWA LOCAL 7102 COLLECTIVE BARGAINING AGREEMENT WHICH IS TO BE EFFECTIVE JANUARY 1,2003 IN THE NAME AND BY THE AUTHORITY OF THE CITY OF WAUKEE,IOWA WHEREAS,during recent labor agreement negotiations,department heads and union members agreed that the Buy Back Program initiated January 1,2002 for police officers was not working; AND, WHEREAS,discussion and negotiation resulted in a proposed change which is: "The basic work week for members ofthe Police Department assigned to patrol shall be any assigned forty-eight (48)hours in one (1)calendar week,Sunday through Saturday inclusive. Weekly assignments shall consist of six (6)daily tours of eight and one-half (8.5)consecutive hours with three (3)consecutive days off.The daily tour shall consist of fifteen (15)minutes prior to the assigned daily tour for roll call eight (8)hours regular duty and fifteen (15)minutes after the assigned daily tour for report completion.Any hours remaining to equal 2080 hours will be assigned at the regular rate of pay at the Police Chief s discretion, with a minimmn of two (2)hour increments;"AND, ] WHEREAS,all individuals participating in the negotiations or affected by the proposed change would like the change to become effective January 1,2003 in the current labor agreement. NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED by the City of Waukee City Council in session this 16th day of December 2002 that it hereby approves an amendment to the City of Waukee and CWA Local 7102 Collective Bargaining Agreement which is to be effective January 1,2003 and which is as specified above.
