RESOLUTION 03-178
APPROVING DIRECTION FOR HICKMAN ROAD STREETLIGHT PROJECT
IN THE NAME AND BY THE AUTHORITY OF THE CITY OF WAUKEE,IOWA
WHEREAS,the City of Waukee has voted to install poles and lighting on the south and
north side of Hickman Road from the Urbandale/Clive borders to 10th Street in Waukee;
AND,
WHEREAS,Jennifer Rouse and Dave Mueller,employees of Snyder &Associates,Inc.
have submitted examples of light fixtures to be used on Hickman Road and possibly
University Avenue;AND,
WHEREAS,the recommended lights will provide comparable illumination to what is
currently on Hickman Road;AND,
WHEREAS,the recommended lights are reasonably priced.
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED by the City of Waukee City Council in
session this 18th day of August 2003 that it hereby amends the above resolution and
approves proceeding with the bid process to determine actual cost ofthe poles and to bid
the original pole/luminary with three alternate poles/luminaries;so that once the process
is completed,price will help to determine the choice of pole/luminary style.
