RESOLUTION 03-220
APPROVING PUBLIC WORKS DEPARTMENT PURCHASE OF A USED
SINGLE AXLE DUMP/PLOW TRUCK IN THE AMOUNT OF $23,500.00
IN THE NAME AND BY THE AUTHORITY OF TIlE CITY OF WAUKEE,IOWA
WHEREAS,current snow removal/dump truck equipment is older and not in as good
condition as the proposed dump/plow truck;AND,
WHEREAS,purchase of the new truck with money originally earmarked for the
upgrading of the crack sealing machine will extend the life of the current fleet of
dump/plow trucks and defer expenditures for this type of equipment for a number of
years;AND,
WHEREAS,the purchase price quoted by O'Halloran International,Inc.for the purchase
of a 1995 International 4700 with 35,306 miles is $31,500 minus $8,000 trade-in
allowance or $23,500.00;AND,
WHEREAS,Public Works Staff recommend the purchase of this truck with trade-in,
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED by the City of Waukee City Council in
session this 17'11day of November,2003 that it hereby approves the purchase of 1995
International 4700 dump/plow truck for the price of $23,400.00.
