THE CITY OF WAUKEE,IOWA
APPROVING IMPROVEMENTS FOR WASTEWATER TREATMENT PLANT
BLOWER IN THE AMOUNT OF $24,626.25 FROM JC CROSS CO.
IN THE NAME AND BY THE A UTHORJTY OF THE CITY OF WA UKEE,IOWA
WHEREAS,the City of Waukee has Sutorbilt blowers at the Wastewater Treatment Facilities;
AND,
WHEREAS,the City has maintained the existing blowers since installation in 1999 and now
find that two new blower assemblies and three new intake filter/silencers must be replaced;
AND,
WHEREAS,Veensta &Kimm,Inc.requested quotations for the needed replacement parts from
IC Cross Co and received the following:
Universal Silencer CCS -6 Inlet Filter 3 $208.75 $626.25
Silencer
Sutorbilt 7 MP Blower Package as 2 $12,000.00 $24,000.00
Described in Quote No.WWT-I01303-pkg
Total $24,626.25
WHEREAS,Veenstra &Kimm,Inc.reconnnend accepting the quotations from IC Cross Co.in
the amount of $24,000.00 for two new blower assemblies and $626,25 for three new intake
filter/silencers.
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED by the City of Waukee City Council in session this
17th day of November 2003 that it hereby approves the purchase of repair parts for the three
existing blowers for the Wastewater Treatment Facilities.
