RESOLUTION 2020-064
APPROVING IOWA DEPARTMENT OF TRANSPORTATION PRECONSTRUCTION
AGREEMENT FOR PRIMARY ROAD PROJECT (INTERSTATE 80 FROM DE SOTO
TO GRAND PRAIRIE PARKWAY) [PROJECT NO. IMN-080-3(248)113-0E-251
IN THE NAME AND BY THE A UTHORITY OF THE CITY OF WA UKEE, IOWA
WHEREAS, the City of Waukee, Dallas County, State of Iowa, is a duly organized Municipal
Organization; AND,
WHEREAS, the Iowa Department of Transportation has provided a Preconstruction Agreement
for Primary Road Project for future improvements to Interstate 80 from the De Soto interchange
east to the Grand Prairie Parkway interchange; AND,
WHEREAS, the Agreement allows the Iowa Department of Transportation to move forward
with the acquisition of the right-of-way necessary for the improvement project; AND,
WHEREAS, the Agreement also provides for a portion of the right-of-way in the Painted
Woods South development to be transferred to the City of Waukee at a future date at no cost to
the City.
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Waukee on this
18`" day of February, 2020, that the Iowa Department of Transportation Preconstruction
Agreement for Primary Road Project (Interstate 80 from De Soto to Grand Prairie Parkway)
[Project No. IMN-080-3(248)113-0E-25] is hereby approved.
