MINUTES OF THE TUESDAY,MARCH 22,2005 PLANNING AND ZONING COMMISSION
MEETING.
Vice Chairman Hoifeldt called the March 22,2005 meeting ofthe Planning and Zoning Commission to 1
jlorderat7:03 p.m.
Roll Call.Vice Chairman Hoifeldt asked for a roll call and the following Commissioners were present:
Mook,Schmidt,Wilson.Absent:Korpanty,Krantz,Steele.Council Representative Mertz arrived at 7 :06
p.m.
Agenda Approval.Motion by Commissioner Schmidt,seconded by Commissioner Wilson,to "Approve
the Agenda for March 22,2005."Ayes:Mook,Schmidt,Wilson,Hoifeldt.Nays:None.Motion carried.
Approval of March 8,2005 Meeting Minutes.Motion by Commissioner Schmidt,seconded by
Commissioner Mook,to "Adopt the March 8,2005 Meeting Minutes."Ayes:Mook,Schmidt,Wilson,
Hoifeldt.Nays:None.Motion carried.
Open Forum.No one appeared to address the Commission during the Open Forum.
Approve the Preliminary Plat for Grant Park.Wally Pelds of Pelds Engineering Company presented
the Preliminary Plat for Grant Park on behalf of owner/developer Kurt Brewer.The preliminary plat had
already been approved by the Commission,but changes had been made since that approval.A tentative
development agreement has been reached to address parkland dedication and paving and improvements
for L.A.Grant Pkwy.and 3 12th Place.John Gibson requested that the preliminary plat be approved
provided the development agreement is approved by City Council before they approve the plat,and that
the developer provides the City with copies of signed certified mail receipts for letters sent regarding
storm water drainage to property owners to the south ofthe plat.Mr.Gibson also stated that 312'h Place
must be paved before the land to the east of Grant Park would be allowed to develop,and that issues with
the outlet pipe to the south will be addressed at the construction plan phase.Mr.Brewer also owns this
parcel.Motion by Commissioner Schmidt,seconded by Commissioner Wilson,to "Approve the
Preliminary Plat for Grant Park,provided the development agreement is approved by City Council prior
to consideration of the preliminary plat,and that the City is provided with copies of signed certified mail
receipts for letters sent to property owner to the south ofthe plat regarding storm water drainage to the
mea."Ayes:Mook,Schmidt,Wilson,Hoifeldt.Nays:None.Motion carried.
