Chairman Hoifeldt called the AprilS,2006 meeting of the Planning and Zoning Commission to order at 6:31 p.rn. Roll Call:Chairman Hoifeldt asked for a roll call and the following Commissioners were present: Hoifeldt,Mook,Schmidt,Wilson.Absent:Dutcher,Krantz,Commissioner Steele arrived at 6:32pm. Others in attendance:John Gibson,Brad Deets,Shalmon Lynch,Dennis Dowell,and John Kursitis. Agenda Approval.Motion by Commissioner Schmidt,seconded by Commissioner Wilson,to "Approve the Agenda for AprilS,2006."Ayes:Hoifeldt,Steele,Mook,Schmidt,Wilson.Nays: None.Motion carried. Approval of March 28,2006 Meeting Minntes.Motion by Commissioner Schmidt,seconded by Commissioner Wilson,to "Adopt the March 28,2006 Meeting Minutes."Ayes:Hoifeldt,Steele, Mook,Sclnnidt,Wilson.Nays:None.Motion carried. Open Forum.No one appeared to address the Commission during the Open Forum. Approve the Final Plat for Williams Pointe Plat 9.Erin Ollendike,of Engineering Resource Group, addressed the commission.Commissioner Schmidt asked if there were any outstanding bonds.City Planner Brad Deets said the only outstanding bond is for the University trail construction.Motion by Commissioner Schmidt,seconded by Commissioner Mook to "Approve the Final Plat for Williams Pointe Plat 9 Subject to Resolution and Execution of Document Regarding Road Improvements to Alice's Road and Submittal ofPerfonnance Bond for University Trail Construction prior to City Council Approval."Ayes:Hoifeldt,Steele,Mook,Schmidt,Wilson.Nays:None.Motion carried. New Business.Commissioner Sclunidt asked for the City to look into a limit on the use of Green Ash trees.He said they are becoming a nuisance in the Midwest and would like to avoid those same problems here by banning or limiting their use in the City.He suggested the City get an expert opnnon. Adjournment.Motion by Commissioner Wilson,second by Commissioner Schmidt,to adjourn at 6:42p.m.Ayes:Hoifeldt,Steele,Mook,Schmidt,Wilson.Nays:None.Motion carried.Meeting adjoumed.
