COIvlMISSION MEETING.
Chairman Hoifeldt called the September 25,2007 meeting of the Planning and Zoning
Commission to order at 7:00 p.m.
Roll Call.Chairman Hoifeldt asked for a roll call and the following Commissioners were
present:Hoifeldt,Steele,Mook,Schmidt,Wilson,and Airhart.Absent:Dutcher.Others in
attendance:Beth Richardson,Brad Deets,Ben Landhauser,John Kursitis,and Councilmember
Don Bailey,Jr.
Agenda Approval.Motion by Commissioner Sclunidt,seconded by Commissioner Airhart,to
"Approve the Agenda for September 25,2007."Ayes:Sclunidt,Airhart,Steele,Mook,Wilson,
and Hoifeldt.Nays:None.Motion carried.
Approval of September 11,2007 Regular Meetiug Miuutes.Motion by Commissioner Mook,
seconded by Commissioner Steele,to "Adopt the corrected September 11,2007 Regular Meeting
Minutes."Ayes:Mook,Steele,Schmidt,Airhart,Wilson,and Hoifeldt.Nays:None.Motion
carried.
Open Forum.No one appeared to address the Commission during the Open Forum.
Motion to Approve the Rezoning of portions of the Stone Prairie Subdivision from R-2 One
and Two Family Residential,R-4 Row Dwelling and Townhome Dwelling District,and C-
IA Neighborhood Commercial District to R-2 One and Two Family Residential,R-4 Row
Dwelling and Townhome Dwelling District,and C-IA Neighborhood Commercial District
(Boundary Correction).Director of Planning,Brad Deets,briefly explained that the request for
rezoning this property is due to staffs request to move SE Wildflower Drive approximately 100
feet south along LA Grant Parkway to create additional stacking capacity and to align with the
anticipated inconsistencies in the zoning boundaries for the development.The proposed request
is to modify the boundaries to align with the street centerlines as approved with thepreliminary
plat and construction drawings.Motion by Commissioner Steele,seconded by Commissioner
Airhart to "Approve the Rezoning of portions of the Stone Prairie Subdivision from R-2 One and
Two Family Residential,R-4 Row Dwelling and Townhome Dwelling District,and C-IA
Neighborhood Commercial District to R-2 One and Two Family Residential,R-4 Row Dwelling
and Townhome Dwelling District,and C-IA Neighborhood Commercial District (Boundary
Correction)."Ayes:Steele,Airhart,Mook,Sclunidt,Hoifeldt,and Wilson.Nays:None.
Motion carried.
Motion to Approve the Final Plat for The Crossing at Alice's Road Plat 1.Director of
Planning,Brad Deets,explained the applicants request for approval of a final plat for the
development of Lot 1 of The Crossing at Alice's Road Plat 1.The final plat also indicates one
(1)outlot for future development.The plat is generally located at the northwest comer of
Hickman Road (Highway 6)and Alice's Road,containing 145 acres more or less.Motion by
Connnissioner Schmidt,seconded by Commissioner Mook to "Approve the Final Plat for The

Crossing at Alice's Road Plat 1 subject to remaining staff comments."Ayes:Schmidt,Mook,
Steele,Airbart,Hoifeldt,and Wilson.Nays:None.Motion carried.
New Business.On October 3,the Commissioners are invited to attend the American Planning
Association LEED Design Plan at the City Hall office from 3-4:30 PM.Brad Deets is working
On putting together the next public Comprehensive Plan meeting.Regency submitted a new
request for the western lot in the Williams Pointe subdivision that is scheduled for the
Commission to review at the second meeting in October.

at
7:16 p.m.Ayes:Wilson,Sc1nnidt,Steele,Mook,Hoifeldt,and Airhart.Nays:None.Motion
