Present:Jim Berner,Dennis Dolmage,John Hamilton,LeRoy Wolfe and Gilbert

Absent:Ruby Merte's,Hugh Grandfield and Waukee Administrative Officer,John
Felton.
Guests:None
Meeting was called to order by Chairman,Gilbert Stanley.
Minutes of January 18,1972 Planning and Zoning meeting were distributed to
members present.Minutes approved on motion by Wolfe and second by Dolmage.
Report on Town Council Meeting of February 14,1972 was given by Gilbert Stanley.
Proposed resioential and commercial development on 32A plot east of school and
park sites--Planning and Zoning would entertain the matter upon receipt of a
preliminary plan with indication of annexation to Town of Waukee.Special
attention would be given to specific nature of proposed commercial development,
and to buffering between it and school &park.
Kirkland industrial park proposal map and other promised information not yet
received for consideration.
Model Building Code (Iowa League of Municipalities)--sections of Model Building
code distributed to Commission members for study.Sections to be rotated among
members.It was observed that it would not be practical for Waukee to adopt a
Building Code unless and until adequate budget arrangement is made for qualified
inspection and enforcement personnel.
John Hamilton is on the rotation schedule to attend the next Town Council meet-
ing,March 6 or March 13,1972.
The next regular Planning and Zoning meeting will be March 21,1972.Motion
for adjornment made by Hamilton.Motion seconded by Berner and carried.
