A special meeting of the Waukee Planning &Zoning Commission met on
Tuesday,l1arch 1.Chairman Weeks opened the meeting at 7:30 p vm,
A roll call of members present:Borchers,Vkeks,Foster,Heskett
and 1':!=rtes.Abseri.t:Casey and Johnson.
Gcests:Frank Hoi:feldt,Ro ga r Buffington,Brian Redshaw,Steve Venard,
Marl<Broreriek,Joe St o rk and Gre.g Griffith.
Motion was made by Borchers,to approve the minutes of February 16,
second by Foster.Motion carried.
Steve Venard presented an updated plat for Hidden Valley Estates,
adding cul-de-sac between Lots 23 and 24 per recommendation.A
drawing of proposed entrance road from R-22 into the property was
also presented with the stipulation that it will be black-topped.
Buffington presented his review of the Hidden Valley revised plat.
He cautioned us that Commission and Council should look at the two
mils limit problems,that the action taking now could be establish-
ing a precendent for future developments.
Foster made the motion to recommend to the City Coucnil that the
preliminary plat for Hidden Valley Estates be approved and that
their covenants address issues as laid out in the City engineer's
letter dated March 1.Discussion was held on the motion.Heskett
seconded the motion.Motion carried.
Mark Broderick presented a drawing of plans for his property in the
M-l district,asking about utilities and if a gravel road could be
built into his property.Zoning Commission referred him to sub-
division regulations of Waukee Zoning Ordinances.His utility pro-
blem would have to be studied by the City Council.
Discussion was held on zoning of the annexed property.Tabled until
the next meeting.
The next meeting was set up for March 22,1988 at 7:30 p.m.
Foster made the motion to adjourn,second by Borchers.Motion carried.
