The Waukee Planning &Zoning Commission was called to o~de~at
7:34 P.M.by Che Irman Ma~k Casey.'Dianna Van Zee was pr aaarrtand
taking minutes.
The following members were present;Royer,Applegate,Steele.
Absent,Foste~,Ch~istiansen,Ko~panty.
Guests.Je~~y C~owe,Je~~y Pu~dy,John Ku~sitis,Steve Pie~ce,
John Bi~che~,Don Lee Bailey,J~.-Council Rep.
The minutes we~e ~ead and app~oved with one co~~ection as
follows,adding the wo~d nD~iven to the following sentence;The~e
will be a p~ivate D~ive and they will need to talk with the
county ~ega~ding this.Motion ca~~ied 4 to 0.
Je~~y C~owe,P~esented the P&Z with a plat that had been
p~eviously submitted and wanted to go ove~the conceptual plan
with the Commission.
Steve Pie~ce would like to see the extension of the st~eet.
Sto~m d~ainage was discussed.He would like a small pond to act
as a ~etention pond.This would be looked at by thei~enginee~.
The st~eet was discussed.Do they want a cul-de-sac o~a st~eet
access.st~eets can be up to 600 ft long except they can ask fo~
a va~iance up to 1000 ft.

Steve would like them to look into the

by Applegate to accept Suga~C~eek P~elimina~y Plat as long as
all of the p~ovisions in the lette~f~om Veenst~a &Kimm we~e
met.Motion ca~~ied 4 to 0.
steele motion,Applegate seconded to accept the site plan with
the stipulation of the bike t~ail with ~equi~ement of asphalt to
d~iveway then the ~est of the sidewalk to be decided at a late~
date.Motion ca~~ied 4 to 0.
John Ku~sitis discussed the comp~ehensive plan.It was in the
fo~m of a land use map.This was explained to the Commission.
Don Lee Bailey told the Commission that the Mayo~would like a
list of the membe~s te~m dates.

He also told them that the Mayor would like for the P&Z to have a
little understanding when special meetings are called.The P&Z
would like the same understanding and to be given some notice.
Royer motioned,second by Steele to adjourn at 9:50 P.M.Motion
carried 4 to 0.
Meeting adjourned.

The special meeting of the Waukee Planning &zoning Commission
was called to order at 7:32 P.M.by Vice-Chairman Lloyd Royer.
Roll was taken and the following members were present:
Christianson,Foster,Applegate,Royer,Korpanty.Absent:
Steele,Casey.
Moved by Foster,second by Applegate to approve the TIF area
located in the Southwest Urban Renewal District.Ayes:
Applegate,Christianson,Foster,Korpanty,Royer.Nays:None
recorded.Absent:Casey,Steele.Motion carried 5 to 0.
Lloyd Royer spoke about concern of Southfork wells,Ai Scholes
also had the same concern.Lloyd had concerns about lost revenue
from the irrigation wells.Brian indicated that the irrigation
water was not a factorial into the usage projection.
Moved by Foster,second by Applegate to adjourn at 8:10 P.M.
Meeting adjourned.
