The Waukee Planning [,Zoning Cormu s s Lon met in regular session on
June 21,1988.The meeting was called to order by Chairman Foster
at 7:35 p.m.
A roll call of members present:Casey,Pierce,Foster and Borchers.
Absent:Mertes,Johnson and Heskett.
Guests:Glen Norgaart,Frank Hoifeldt,Tom Gratias,Rick Ross,
Roger Buffington,Pat Green of Iowa Realty,and Kelly Lint with
United Equity.
Motion was made by Casey and seconded by Pierce,to approve May 31
minutes.Motion carried.
Casey moved and seconded by Pierce to approve site plan of Casey's
subject to deletion of parking space #5 (parallel)and adding lots
14 and 15 to the legal description •.Motion carried.
Casey moved and seconded by Pierce,to approve site plan for Atlantic
Bottling Company subject to appropriate landscaping,narking,permits
from Dallas County and/or Department of Natural Resources,and meet-
ing the requirement for settling pond,deeding 1/2 right-of-way and
granting of easements.Mo t Lon carried.
Casey moved and seconded by Pierce,changing area now zoned A-I to
R-2 which coincides with the legal description according to Petition I
to Rezoning submitted by Kelly Lint,president of United Equity Invest-'_II
ment Corporation.Motion carried.
Tom Gratias presented prelioinary plat for Southfork Plat #2.Discuss-
ion concerning possible site for Home Show Expo '89 on 14 of those
lots.No action necessary at this time.
Borchers made motion to adjourn,seconded by Foster.Motion carried.
July 19 will be the date of our next regular meeting.

The regular meeting of Waukee Planning &Zoning Commission met at the
Haukee Fire Station.The meeting was opened by Cha i rman Foster.
Members present:Borchers,Pierce,Foster and Mertes.
Casey and Heskett.
Absent:Johnson,j
Guests:Tom Gratias,Rick Ross,Kelly Lint.Those arriving later:
Roger Buffington,Frank Hoifeldt and Brian Redshaw.

Gratias visited with the Commission about rezoning on the piece of
property owned by Crees that they want zoned R-5 and wishing approval for
preliminar plat 2 for Southfork.Engineer Buffington presented a
letter of comments on the 3rd submittal to P &Z and recommending
approval of said plat.
Borchers made a motion to recommend to Waukee City Council for rezoning
from A-I to R-5 of the small portion of Southfork Plat #2,seconded
by Pierce.Ho t Lon carried.
Pierce made the motion

to approve preliminary plat for Southfork Plat #2
rezoning of small portion of Southfork Plat #2,
Hotion carried.
Kelly Lint presented revised submittal of preliminary plat 11 for
Corene Acres.
Borchers made motion to recommend to City Council approval of prelim-
inary plat #11 for Corene Acres,Waukee,Iowa,with approval of rezoning,
to recognize easement between lots 17 and 18 of 10 feet and a park set
aside payment of $3500.00 to be specifically put into a Park Development
Fund,second by Pierce.Hotion carried
Borchers made motion to adjourn,second by Foster.Hotion carried.
The next meeting was set for August 23rd,1988.
