The Planning and Zoning Commission was called to order on
Tuesday,October 22,1991 at 7:32 P.M.by Chairman Mark Casey.
Roll was taken and the following members were present:
Christianson,Applegate,Steele,Foster,Royer.Absent:
Korpanty.Dianna Van Zee was present and taking minutes.
Guests:Rick Ross,Mark Gruber,Steve Pierce,Bob Barrett-Co.
Rep.,John Kursitis.
Rick Ross discussed with the commission regarding final plat
approval of Westfield.Discussion took place regarding
sidewalks.Sidewalks will be put in as the houses are being
bUilt.The sidewalks on Northview to new plat will be put in
within 2 weeks and the seeding will be done also.They would
like to have a barricade with scotch lite tape at the end of turn
around.
Dick Applegate motioned to approve final plat of Westfield,
second by Foster.Roll call:Ayes:Foster,Christianson,
Steele,Applegate,Casey.Nays:Royer-because of design
standards of the streets.Motion carried 5 to 1.
The minutes were read and Foster discussed the Park Set aside ·jl
plan.Motioned by Steele,second by Royer to approve the minutes
of 9/24.Motioned carried 6 to 0.
John Kursitis updated the commission on the comprehensive plan.
A general discussion took place regarding items of interest going
on in the city,Update on Highway 6-10/29,Update on Annnexation-
10/30 should make some kind of a decision,Sewerline will be
online within a day or two south of railroad,the 23rd of
November lift station will be done and the whole system will be
going,Water goes to the east as far as the Coke plant and to the
north 1/2 mile or less.
Next meeting is 11/26.
Motion by Applegate,second by Royer to adjourn at 8:22 P.M.
Motion carried 6 to 0.
