No meeting held.
October 18,1988
Chairman Foster called the regular meeting of Waukee Planning and
Zoning to order at 7:37 P.M.
Members present for roll call were:Heskett,Foster and Mertes.
Absent:Pierce,Casey and Johnson.
Guests:Larry Clayton and Roger Buffington.
Mr.Clayton presented his site plan again.Discussion was held based
on his presentation at the May 24,1988 meeting.City Engineer Roger
Buffington's review of the site plan recommended that an eight (8)
inch water line be used to conform to the City Code of Waukee.
Clayton stated the was not willing to change his plan of using a six
(6)inch water line.
Borchers made motion to reject the plan as submitted.
Motion carried.
Heskett seconded.
A new P &Z member is needed to serve on the Commission.
The next regular meeting will be held November 15,1988.
Borchers made motion we adjourn.Second by Heskett.Notion carried.

The regular meeting of the Waukee Planning &Zoning was called to
order by Chairman Foster at 7:35 p.m.
A roll call of members:
and l1ertes.
Casey,Borchers,Heskett,Foster,Pierce,
Guests:l1ayor Floyd Rosenkranz,Brian Redshaw,new city engineer
Al 11unsterman,Jack Wearmouth and sixteen concerned citizens of
the Waukee area.
Borchers made motion that the minutes of June 21,July 19 and October
18 be approved.Heskett seconded the motion.Notion carried.

Redshaw presented an Urban Renewal Plan and briefly explained its
purpose.The primary use of the plan being to promote economic
development in the City of Waukee.City Council is seeking our
approval of the plan as presented.After brief discussion,P &Z
members agreed we would like to have time to study the plan.
Mayor Floyd Rosenkranz briefly explained the proposed Planning Study
to be conducted by Jack Wearmouth,ASLA.
Mr Wearmouth presented to the audience and Planning &Zoning members,
his proposal program,its purpose and scope.Each person present was
asked for ideas as to their goals and objectives in regard to the
future of Waukee.The people present were to be considered as members
of the Study Committee.Next meeting will be held December 6th.
P &Z meeting will be held at 7:00 p.m.and the Study Committee will
commence at 7:30 p.m.The meeting will be held at the Waukee Fire
Station until the Study is completed.
Heskett made the motion to adjourn at 10:10 p.m.Borchers seconded.

The December meeting was called to order by Chairman Foster at 7:19 p.m.
Waukee Planning &Zoning met at the Fire Station to accomodate the
Waukee Planning Study conducted by Jack Wearmouth following our meeting.
A roll call of members:Foster,Pierce,Heskett,Casey,Borchers and
Mertes.
Guests:Brian Redshaw.
P &Z is still lacking one member.
Discussion was held on the Urban Renewal Plan for the City of
vJaukee concerning the zoned M-l property at the corner of l62nd and
Hickman Rd.
Casey made the motion that we accept the Renewal Plan as presented,
seconded by Borchers.Motion carried.
The next regular meeting will be held on January 17,1989 at 7:00 p.m.
at the vJaukee Fire Station.Election of officers should be held at
that time.

carried.
