The issue of allowing used car lots in the C-2 zone was discussed. Moved by Keller,second by Buxton,to include new and used car lots in 301.17 of the Waukee Municipal Code but to exclude body shop work.A roll call vote was taken as follows: Ayes: Nays: Hoifeldt,Keller,Buxton,and Gutshall None recorded--Spahr passing Carried 4 to O. Moved by Keller,second by Gutshall,to send the 1981 Zoning Ordinance,Subdivision Regulations,Zoning Map,and 1990 Comprehensive Plan including addendum I to the City council for a special hearing.A roll call vote was taken as follows: Ayes: Nays: Hoifeldt,Spahr,Keller,Buxton,and Gutshall None recorded Carried 5 to O. Moved by Buxton,second by Spahr,to adjourn.Carried 5 to O. ad·ourned. ~(L Meeting chair9tan Janaury 5,1982 The January meeting of the Waukee Planning and Zoning Board was called to order at 7:30 p.m.on Tuesday,January 5,1982.Present were Kenn Spahr,chairman,Frank Hoifeldt,Lee Felt and Nicole Keller. Lee Felt nominated Frank Hoifeldt as vice-chairman.He was unani- mously elected.Nicole Keller was appointed secretary by chair- man Kenn Spahr. Old Business--Items discussed were: 1.On December 29,1981,the City Council passed the Original zoning map,the Zoning Ordinance,and the revised Zoning Ordinance and the revised 1990 Comprehensive Plan without exception. 12.Discussed City council action on recommended annexation including those that will have to involuntary. ------------------------------ January 5--cont 111 1.It was unanimously agreed that the Planning &Zoning request that the City council secure current maps of all services: water and gas mains and sanitary and storm sewers including the county's in the city limits. Moved by Keller,second by Felt,to adjourn.Carried. Meeting adjourned at 8:12 p.m.chair:F·~ March 2,1982 The meeting was called to order at 7:30 p.m.by Ken Spahr,chairman. Present were Ken Spahr,Frank Hoifeldt,NQrma Franks,Bruce Buxton, Nicole Keller,Lee Felt and Brian Redshaw,city clerk. Guests were:Doug Gratias,Bob Christianson,Neal Kirsten,Mr & Mrs D D Herbert,Joe Neubauer,Larry Oetting,Irwin Jansma,Merle Rees,Gordon Christianson,and Jerry Brown. Doug Gratias requested variance consideration on the Stephen property west of the alley on the south side of Walnut St.The variance was discussed.The Planning &Zoning board unanimously agreed to not recommend the variance to the·City council.Mr Redshaw was requested to write a letter to the council and Mr Gratias con- firming the decision. Neal Kirsten of Vorhees Architects and Bob Christianson of Christianson Homes requested rezoning of pronerty north of Country Time Apartments on 4th Street.After much discussion,Nicole Keller moved and Lee Felt seconded to recommend that the council rezone said property .. The motion carried. Mr Bob Heddinger did not appear to request the item he had placed on the agenda. Mr &Mrs D D Herbert requested a recommendation to allow a frontage variance on their property to allow a frontage variance on their property to add on a 6 foot deep sun catcher.Recommendation not made.
