The February meeting of the Planning &Zoning Commission was
called to order by Chairman Tom Demand at 7:30 p.m.A roll
call was taken and the following members were present:Demand,
Hoifeldt,Keller,and Rinard.Absent:Gutshall,Rosenkranz,
and Felt.One guest was present.
The minutes of the January 9 meeting were read.Moved by
Hoifeldt,second by Keller,to approve the minutes as read.
Motion carried unanimously.
A suggestion was made by Keller to contact County Zoning Commission
in the future for the purpose of better understanding of their
responsibilities.
Tom McClure,Waukee Zoning Administrator,was introduced by
Chairman Tom Demand.Mr McClure informed the P &Z of his
duties.Questions were asked by P &Z members regarding Glenview
Manor construction and discussion followed.A suggestion was
made by Demand that P &Z should be aware and ready for any and
all future developments.
Moved by Demand,second by Hoifeldt,to adjourn at 9:10 p.m.
Passed unanimously.
The next scheduled meeting will be March 5,1984 at 7:30 p.m.

A special meeting of the Planning &Zoning Commission was called
to order at 7:30 p.m.A roll call was taken and the following
members were present:Demand,Hoifeldt,Keller,Rosenkranz,Felt,
and Gutshall.Absent:Rinard.
The minutes of February 6,1984 were approved as written.
Jim Berner,representing Bishop Engineering,presented the pre-
liminary plat for Glenview Manor showing the gravity flow
sanitary sewer system.

Howard Hargis from Kirkham,Michael &Associates engineers,pre-
sented a development by Henry Krohn located south of Evergreen
Manor,east of 6th Street and west of Corene Acres.It is to be
phased in six parcels over six to ten years,depending on interest
in their sites.There would be 85+lots,each approximately
10,000 sq.ft.+East house would be 1,800 sq.ft.±.The land
is zoned R-2,except for one section abutting Evergreen Manor
