Advised to return next meeting with lot descriptions,etc.needed for formal application for zoning change. Motion by Herbert,second by Powell for adjournment.Carried. Meet:itnJ April 7,1980 Present:Leland Felt,Joe Powell,Norma Franks,Nichole Keller, Vivian Wilson,chairman Kenneth Spahr,and councilman Larry Oetting. Absent:Dick Herbert Minutes were read and approved. Old business:Updating ordinances Keller presented for consideration ordinances that she has felt needed updating: Item #l--Changing name of commission from Zoning Commission to Planning and Zoning Commission in order to conform to State Code. Item #2--Addition and deletion on page 60,Section 27 of amendments in zoning ordinance and subdivision regulations Should read:(fitst sentence)'The City council may, from time to time,(insert)"after considering Planning and Zoning Commission reconrrnendation"(strike)"from time to time" after third sentence:(insert)"and at least fifteen (15)days notice of time and place of such hearing shall be mailed to all property owners immediately adjacent to and within 200 feet therefrom and those directly oppIDsite thereto not to exceed 200 feet from the street frontage of such opposite lots". Item #3--Should be added in definitions: Dwelling,Condominium:A multiple dwelling as de- fined herein whereby the fee title to each dwelling unit is held independently of the others;regulated by Chapter 499B,Code of Iowa,1973. Dwelling--Row:Anyone of three or more attached dwellings in a continuous row,each such dwelling 105 April 7,1980--cont designed and erected as a unit on a separate lot and separated from one another by an approved wall or walls. Also referred to as a Town House. Ray Burger presented request to change his business property on the N.E.corner of 4th &Ashworth from R-2 to C-2. Moved by Keller,second by Felt,to approve zoning change of Ray Burger's business property from R-2 to C-2.Carried 5 to O. As there was no further business,the meeting was adjourned. November 4,1980 The meeting was called to order by chairman Kenn Spahr at 7:30 p.m. Members present were:Nichole Keller,Leland Felt,Frank Hoifeldt, and Bruce Buxton. A land dedication ordinance was discussed.Two options were dis- cussed with regard to the land assessment procedure.In one, the cost is a percentage of the development cost and in the other, the cost is 10%of the land value. The private nursery land use was discussed with regard to C-2 zoning regulations. Six foot non-climbable fences around pools and the Clive condominium ordinance were also discussed. December 2,1980 will be the next meeting. Moved by Keller,second by Buxton,to adjourn.Carried 4 to O. Meeting adjourned. chai~~j21! Members present:Frank Hoifeldt,Norma Franks,Leland Felt,Pat Gutshall,and Nichole Keller.Brian Redshaw,city administrator was also present. Guests were:Roger Buffington,city engineer,and Larry Oetting, City councilman.
