April 15,1986
The regular meeting of the Waukee Planning &Zoning Commission
was called to order at 7:40 p.m.by Chairman Rosenkranz.
Guests introduced were:Tom McClure,Scott Thomas,and Bob
Sayre.
A roll call of member present:Weeks,Casey,Rosenkranz,Gutshall
and Mertes.Absent:Demand and Foster.
A correction to the March 18,1986 minutes should read as follows:
"The P &Z researched the proposed establishment and could nothing
to disallow the tanning salon in the City Ordinance.
Hotion was made by Gutshall,seconded by Casey,to app rove the
minutes of Harch 18,1986 with the correction.Motion carried.
Bob Sayre presented a site plan for Interstate Automotive.Two
metal buildings are to be constructed in the Industrial Park on
his property.A letter from Snyder &Associates,Inc.was pre-
sented recommending approval of the Interstate Automotive site
plan.Tom HcClure,Zoning Administrator,also agreed that every-
thing should be approved.
A motion was made by Gutshall to approve the site plan as presented
with recommendation letter of approval from Snyder &Associates.
Hotion seconded by Weeks.Carried unanimously.
Discussion was held on "Accessory Buildings"under 301.8 of the
Waukee Zoning Ordinance for possible changes.Scott Thomas
of the Waukee Fire Department felt no changes should be made
to allow decks,porches or accessory buildings to be any closer
than is stated in the Ordinance.No action was taken.
Preparation of the Parks Ordinance was completed.

City Council at their regular May meeting.
The next regular meeting of the P &Z is to be held Hay 20,1986.
