The Waukee Planning &Zoning Commission met Hay 26,1987.Vice-
chairman Weeks opened the meeting at 7:40 p.m.in the absence of
the Chairman.
Roll call of members present:Mark Casey,Arnie Borchers,Bill
Weeks,Joan Heskett,Ruby 11ertes and new member,Jerry Johnson.
Absent:Floyd Rosenkranz and Randy Foster.
Guests:Tom Tovrea,Hark Gruber and Brian Redshaw.
Noted here that Randy Foster,who is moving from the area,be
considered as automatically resigned because of attendance.Jerry
Johnson was appointed by the City Council to replace the seat.
Discussion was held on the zoning change letter received in regard
to proposed change from A-l to C-l for trailer park.The Commission
sees no problem with the total rezoning.
Discussed City Attorney's change in our recommendation made at April
21st session.Our motion made to change 301.3 Definitions.Story,
Half to delete (or living quarters),will read 301.3 Definitions.
Story,Half (or containing independent living quarters).So noted.
Discussion held on the problem of Waukee residents not getting
permits to buildj.etc"according to Zoning Ordinance 301.24.
The Commission asked Brian Redshaw to look into Sugar Creek develop-
ment south of lilaukeealong R-22 since developer had not contacted
the City to plat.
Our next regular meeting will be June 16,1987 at 7:30 p.m.
