June 17,1986
A special meeting of the Waukee Planning &Zoning Commission was
called to order by Chairman Floyd Rosenkranz at 7:30 p.m.
Members present were:Weeks,Rosenkranz,Casey,Demand and Mertes.
Foster arrived at 8:45 p.m.

Guests were:Mr &Mrs Fred Deaver,David Honken,William R Porter,
Doug Wyatt and Brian Redshaw.
A correction was made to the June 9,1986 minutes on the voice vote
regarding the property at 50S-4th St.Minutes should have read:
2 ayes,1 nay,2 abstain and 1 absent.Weeks made the motion to
approve the minutes as amended,second by Casey.Motion carried.
The revised site plan for Waukee Pronto Store and a letter from
City Engineer Roger Buffington,we discussed.Buffington's letter
of May 27th with 16 items to be considered requirements on the site
plan for the Pronto store were compared.with the letter of June 16th
on the revision.-
Item 8 regarding parking requirements were discussed.Due to the
fact that there .is no classification for convenience stores in our
Planning &Zoning Ordinance,Casey made the motion that parking
requirements should be covered under service garage requirements,
Section 30l.22B,second by Demand.Motion carried.
IIWilliamPorteragreedtoshow13parkingspacesonsiteplan,the
seven spaces already laid out,four at the island plus 1 parallel
parking spaces in front of the building.
P &Z requested 3 corrected copies of the site plan submitted showing
revision on items·3,8,10,11,12,and 14.i.e.drainage,exterior
lighting,landscaping,parking,curb and gutter on 4th Street.
A special meeting is to be held when corrected copies are received
on June 19,1986 at 8:00p.m.
Foster made motion to adjourn,second by Mertes,Motion carried.
