The regular meeting of the Waukee Planning &Zoning Commission was
called to order at 7:30 p.m.on July 22,1985.Chairman Frank
Hoifeldt called the meeting to order with a roll call of members.
Present:
Absent:
Hoifeldt,Weeks,Gutshall,Rosenkranz,and Fose
Demand
Guests were:Joe Stork,Roger Buffington Sr.,Roger Buffington Jr.,
and Henry Krohn.
Moved by Mertes,second by Weeks,to approve the minutes of June 24.
Motion carried.
A letter from Roger Buffington Sr.was presented concerning final
approval for Waukee Estates Plat 1.Mr.Buffington expalined that
final plat #1 for Waukee Estates should be corrected for conformance
with City of Waukee subdivision regulations.
A special meeting will be held August 7,1985 at 7:30 n.m.to again
review the final plat.Corrections should be made by that time and
be approved by the City Attorney and City Engineer.Final plat #1
for Waukee Estates should be ready to present to the City Council at
their August 13 meeting.
A discussion was held on the proposal of James Ash that the word
"Heliport"be included in the Waukee Zoning Ordinance for M-l (Light
Industrial District).
Moved by Foster,second by Gutshall,to add "Heliport"to the M-l
zoning district.A roll call vote was held as follows:

Foster,Rosenkranz,Gutshall,\-leeks,Hoifeldt,Mertes
None
Motion carried.
Moved by Gutshall to reduce the time limit from 5 years
servicing on the Waukee Planning and Zoning Commission.

A discussion was held on requirement of new developers to set aside
space for park use or contribute to a City park fund.
A motion was made and seconded that vice-chairman Rosenkranz be
appointed chairman to serve for the rest of the year,1985,after
Hoifeldt's term is over on August 11,1985.Motion carried.
Moved by Rosenkranz,second by Weeks,to adjourn.Motion carried.
The next regular meeting will be August 26,1985.
