The August meeting of the Planning &Zoning Commission was called to
order at 7:50 p.m.on August 3,1982.Present were:Frank Hoifeldt,
Dan Moore,Bruce Buxton,Nicky Keller and Brian Redshaw.Absent were:
Norma Franks,Pat Gutshall and Lee Felt.No guests were present.
Chairman Hoifeldt informed the Commission of the response of the City
Council to our proposals to rezone lands and to allow step down zoning.
The Council rejected the step down zoning in the "R"·categories and
the rezoning of land north of the railroad tracks from C~2 to R-3.
They proposed a public hearing for rezoning from R-3 to R-2 on land
bordered by 4th,Northview,Evergreen Manor and the Elementary-Middle
school and from R-2 to R-3 land bordered by 6th St,would be Waukee
Ave.,a line extended from the eastern border of Evergreen Manor and
south of the current R-3 line south of the Evergreen Manor drive.No
date for the hearing was set.
The rules of procedure were discussed.It was moved by Nicky Keller and
seconded by Frank Hoifeldt to adopt the corrected draft and send to the
City council for approval.Voting yes were:Frank Hoifeldt,Bruce
Buxton,Nicky Keller and Dan Moore.

Discuss R-5 zoning of land east of &Eh St,west of East St.,
North of Ashworth
Rezoning of Corene Acres to R-l3.
The meeting will be held at 7:30 p.m.on September 7,1982 at City
Hall.
Nicky Keller moved and Dan Moore seconded that the meeting be adjourned.
Approved unanimously.
