The September meeting of the Planning and Zoning Commission was called
to order on September 7,1982 at 7:33 p.m.Presents were:Norma Franks,
Pat Gutshall,Lee Felt,Frank Hoifeldt,and Nicky Keller.Dan Moore
arrived at 7:40.Karen White was a guest.Pat Gutshall left at 8:15 p.m.
The minutes of the July 6th meeting were read.Norma Franks moved and
Lee Felt seconded to approve.They were approve unanimously,The
August 3 minutes were read,Frank Hoifeldt moved that they be approved
deleting 'and send to the City Council for approval'.Pat Gutshall
seconded the motion.It passed unanimously.
Old Business.
1.Discussed the Rules of Procedure passed at the previous meeting.
It was moved by Lee Felt and seconded by Dan Moore to delete Article 2,
Section n,regarding honorary members.The motion passed unanimously.
2.Motions were taken for vice-chairman.Dan Moore nominated Nicky
Keller.She declined.Pat Gutshall nominated Bruce Buxton and Lee Felt
seconded.Dan Moore moved and Lee Felt seconded that nominations cease.
The motion P?ssed unanimously.Buxton was elected unanimously.
3.Discussed the City Council meeting of August 30th regarding our
recommendations for rezoning.It was decided that members of the
Planning and Zoning Commission would attend the October 12th meeting of
the City Council to express our views 'and to request a prioity statement
from the Council regarding the limitations that the current sanitary
sewer and water conditions will be remedied.
New Business.
1.Discussed the need for recreational facilities in the community
with special attention given to an ice skating area this winter.
Niky Keller moved and Norma Frank seconded to adjourn.The motion
passed unanimously.The meeting was adjourned at 8:45 p.m.
The next meeting will be October 5th at 7:30 p.m.
