Rick Ross presented a proposal for a new sanitary sewer system from
University and Ashworth to the sewer plant with a lift station.
Potential was shown for possibly extending the system to the point
east on University to top of the rise and area that could be covered.
Engineer,Al Munsterman,was given a copy to study and give opinion
by letter by next meeting ..
Casey left at 7:25 p.m.
Next regulat meeting to be February 21,1989.
Hotion made to adjourn by Hertes,Heskett seconded.Motion carried.
Meeting with Mr l;ifearmouthon Waukee Planning Study followed.

The February meeting of the l;JaukeePlanning &Zoning Hoard was called
to order by Chairman Pierce at 7:00 p.m.WaUkee Planning &Zoning met
at the Fire Station to accommodate the Waukee Planning Study by Jack
Wearmouth following our meeting.
A roll call of members:Casey,Heskett,Foster,Pierce,Kornanty and
Borchers.
Nembers absent:Hertes.
Ninutes of the last meeting were not read.
Committee reviewed the plans for the addition of 9 more lots to Mar)'
Ann Estates on Plat #3-Locust St.
Also discussed were the possibility of sewage problems with the future
extension of Kaylin Drive and the status of park-set-aside.
Committee discussed the status of the Northwestern Railroad tracks and
how this could effect future plans for development in Waukee.
Discussed reviewing plans of plats in advance of Planning &Zoning
meetings with Brian Redshaw.We were informed that plans could be
made available to be picked up at City Hall or mailed out.
Next meeting will be held at 7:00 p.m.on Harch 21,1989.
Motion to adjourn was made by Borchers at 7:30 p.m.,second by Casey.
Hotion carried.

The Narch meeting of the Planning &Zonin!';Board was called to
order by Chairman Steve Pierce at 7:10 p.m.
A roll call of members:

Casey arrived at 7:16 p.I'!.
Guests:Jack Inman,Woodwright Construction,Al11unsterman,
Brian Redshaw,Frank Hoifeldt.
Held discussion on sewe r for l1ary Ann Estates..Tack Lnman indicated
this plat is condusive to Seyler but would probably be the last
street in ,~aukee due to the lay of the land.1'0 action was taken
at this tifle.
Jack Inman presented plans for Liberty Park Shopping and Business
NaIl located at Hi.ghway 6.A short discussion followed regarding
lighting,access,etc.Develoner indicated he will proceed with
preliminary site plan to submit for review.
Per Jack vJearmouth I s reques t,the P &Z will meet the next 5
Tuesday nights beginning at 7:30 p.m.on l1arch 28,1989 through
April 25,1989.
A discussion was held regarding deferring of action on future
commercial developments along Highway 6 and University Avenue
until receipt of the final comprehensive plan.Casey made
