Present:Jim Berner,Richard Herbert,Joe Powell,Robert Gallagher,and Don Faust
Absent:Claire Chedester
The Committe reviewed a petition presented to the City Council objecting to the
rezoning from R-l to R-2 requested by George Gray on proposed plat 7.
After dicusSing proposed zoning change with George Gray and concerned residents
in the community,the following motions were made:
1.Zoning not be changed and if the City Council feels it's in the best
interest of the community,they can over-ride.Motion by Jim Berner
second by Joe Powell.
2.Recommend that the council raise the sanitary sewer inlet at 1st &
Waukee Ave.to at least curb level,to help control ground water
running into sanitary sewer.Motion by Don Faust -second by Robert
Gallagher.
It should be noted that there is no approval of proposed plat 7 and George
Gray will have to come back to the Planning and Zoning committee once the
council acts on the rezoning change.
Motion made and second to adjourn.Carried.

The Committee recommend leaving Proposed Plat #7 zoned R-l.
After discussing Proposed Plat #7,no motion was made for approval.The Committee
ask for a special meeting with the City Council about their views of Proposed
Plat #7.This meeting was set for March 25,1976.
Motion made and seconded to adjourn -Carried.
