The meeting of the Waukee PlanninE &Zoning was called to order
by Chairman Pierce at 7:30 p.m.
Roll call of

Pierce,Casey,Heskett &Bertes
Tom Davis,manager of NidvJest Nobile Home Park,visited with the
Commission about the distance between structures at the Park
changing from 10 feet to 6 feet.Chairman Pierce state there was
no intention to decrease the distance between buildings.The
problem will be studied and was tabled until the next P &Z meeting.
The minutes of January 24 and February 21,1989 we r e studied.Casey
moved for approval and Borchers seconded.Hotion carried.
11eeting was turned over to Jack ,Jearmouth for the 1;.JaukeePlanning
Study at 7:52 p i m,Hr \·Jearmouth asked that we meet each Tuesday
night for 4 or 5 weeks.
The next regular meeting is schedu~ed for April 18 at 7:00 D.H.

The April meeting of tbe'Planning and Zpning Commission was called
to order by Chairman,Steve Pierce,at 7:02 p vm ,at the Tmmanue L
Lutheran Church,in order to accoTm2odate the Waukee Planning Study
conGuctep by Jack Hearmouth following our meeting.
A roll call of members present:Casey,Borchers,Heskett,Foster,
Pierce and Korpanty.Absent:Hertes.

of the Uaukee Christian Church,of the R-2 zoning of the church
property to a C-2 classification.This request made in order to
enhance the sale of the church property.
Cas ev made the motion to recommend to the Cit;'Council to rezone
the lot lLf,15,and 16 from R-2 to C-2 classification,seconded by
Foster.following a discussion,the motion was carried unanimously.
Rick Ross presented two items to the Committee.The first concerning
Plat #2.We reviewed plans for a Southfork addition.Secondly,

the Committee was presented with site development plans for
business lots to include metal buildings near the existing
mini-warehouse storage.Brian Redshaw suggested we should
get additional information concerninr the water lines in that
area.The Committee felt we would need to consider water,gas
and electric utilities in that part of the City first.-

The regular meeting of Waukee Planning and Zoning was held at the
,{aukee Fire Station.Meeting was called to order by Chairman
Pierce at 7:15 p.m.
Roll call of members present:Heskett,Pierce,Mertes,Korpanty,
and Casey.Absent:Foster and Borchers.
Guests:Brian Redshaw,Al 11unsterman,Rick Ross,Jack Inman,
and Frank Hoifeldt.IRedshawmadementionofthingstobeconsideredforthemeeting.
Rick Ross reported that the final plat for Southfork 1,!2was not
completed and requested a special meeting be held.Consensus for
meeting to be held June 6th~7:00 p.m.at the Waukee Fire Station.
Ross talked about warehouse nlans for Haukee Industrial Park,north
of Hickman.He spoke of the"need for City water to the area for
development.He will visit with the Utilities Committee about the
possibilities.
Jack Inman presented Mary Ann Estates Plat #3 for approval.City
Engineer Huns terman and Redshaw reported final paperwork had not
been completed andfinalinsnection needs to be made.Waukee P &Z
"Jill meet with Enman .a t 6 :lf5p.m.on Hay 23rd at City Hall for
consideration of approval.
Plans for Liberty Park Hall were discussed informally.
