August 15,1989
The regular meeting of the Haukee P &Z was called to order
by Chairman Pierce at 7:08 p.T:1.on August 15,1989.IMemberspresent:Korpanty,Pierce,Mertes and Foster.Absent:
Casey and Borchers.
Guests:Brian Redshaw,Joe Brick,TOT:1Hughes,Bill Forbes,
Frank Hoifeldt and Joan Heskett.
Mertes made motion to approve minutes of July 18,second by
Foster.Motion carried.
Joe Brick presented a concept drawing for develo~ment of Hickman
West 'Industrial Park along Highwav 6 (Hickman)showd ng accesses
into the property.
Foster made motion to recommend to Waukee City Council to approve
the right of way access at 1320'east of l62nd St at center line and
1320'east of that point at Hickman West Industrial Park,unless
it can be proven that the accesses would be safer at another
location by D.O.T.engineers,second by Korpanty.Hotion carried.
Tom Hughes came before the Commission with a request to rezone
his property,150 X 160 feet,north of Highway 6 and the rail-
road right-of-way east of R-22 from M-l to 11-2.He wishes to
establish a portable concrete plan in the future.The Commission
advised him it would be better for him to apply for a variance
from the Board of Adjustment instead of a change of zoning.
Next meeting to be held September 19,1989.
Foster made motion to adjourn,second by Korpanty.l1otion carried.
