The addendum to the 1990 Comprehensive Plan was discussed and the following
areas were highlighted:
1.Sanitary sewer
2.Population-rate of increase
3.Future street plan
4.Fire protection-restriction of height
The goal of the zoning ordinance is to make reasonable restrictions on
land use to enhance the character of the area.
Water pressure,storm sewer work,indebtedness,and congestion of
streets were discussed as factors restricting growth.The population
projection for the year 2000 is 3,300 according to ClRALG.
Various sections of the Comprehensive Plan were assigned to Commission
members to be presented to the full Commission at its next meeting on
November 3,1981 at 8:00 p.m.
Moved by Keller,second by Hoifeldt,to adjourn.Carried 4 to O.

The Planning &Zoning Commission was called to order at 8:00 p.m.on
Tuesday,November 3,1981 by acting chairman Norma Franks.
Members present were:Bruce Buxton,Nicole Keller,Frank Hoifeldt,
K~XRKIXXXHMXRKXXGMXKRMIIX Absent:Chairman Spahr,Felt &Gutshall.
Addendum I to the 1990 Comprehensive Plan was presented in its final
form to the Commission.Additional gas system data was to be presented
by Frank Hoifeldt at the next meeting.
The Commission discussed the desireability of having a uniform maximum
height limitation in all zones.Presently the proposed zoning ordinance
limits buildings to 40'and 3 stories in C-2 and M-2 zones and 30'
and 2 stories in the M-l zone.
The Commission decided to hold a meeting on November 12,1981 at 7:30 p.m.
with representative of the fire department to discuss height limitations
as they effect fire protection.
