A roll call was held with the following members present:Rosenkranz, Borchers,Casey,Johnson and Heskett.Absent:1;veeksand Hertes. A discussion was held on Ordinances 301.3,301.10 and 301.11.The Cormnission could not come to any agreement and this item will be voted on at the next meeting. I;~I Hark Casey made the motion,seconded by Jerry Johnson,to propose to the City Council to initiate a 5 year study for zoning and annexation plan of present and future needs of the City of Waukee, including the two mile limit and current City boundaries.11otion carried. Hotion was made by Mark Casey and seconded by Jerry Johnson,to recommend to the City Council that if a new fire station is built, a study should be done for a more central location in order to have better response time and ask to look at the north side of Ashworth,east of East Street.Ho t i.on carried. Hotion to adjourn was made by Arnie Borchers,second by Hark Casey. Borchers.l1otion carried 3 to l--1;veeksvoting No. to anprove Second by I 175 November 19,1987---cont AN ORDINANCE TO AMEND CHAPTER 301,WAUKEE,MUNICIPAL CODE,ZONING ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF WAUKEE,IOWA,BY DE- FINING "STORY,HALF",TO PROVIDE THAT A ONE-HALF STORY CONTAINING INDEPENDENT APARTMENTS OR INDEPENDENT LIVING QUARTERS,ONLY,SHALL BE COUNTED AS A FULL STORY. BE IT ORDAINED by the Council of the City of Waukee: Section 1.Section 301.3,Definitions,of Chapter 3tH Waukee Municipal Code,Zoning Ordinance of the City, is hereby amended by deleting therefrom the following: S301.3 STORY,HALF.A space under a sloping roof wh ich has the line of intersection of roof decking and wall face not more than four (4) feet above the top floor level.A half-story containing independent apartments or living quarters shall be counted as a full story. And inserting in lieu thereof: STORY,HALF.A space under a sloping roof which has the line of intersection of roof decking and wall face not more than four (4) feet above the top floor level.Only a half- story containing independent apartments or independent living quarters shall be counted as a full story.
