The Waukee Planning &Zoning Commission was called to order on
January 25,1994 at 7.33 P.M.by Chairman Royer.
Toni Lestina was present and taking minutes.
Roll was taken and the following members were present.Royer,
Steele,Hoifeldt,Blazanin,Applegate,Korpanty arrived at 7.34
P.M.
Approval of the minutes of 12/28 meeting with an addition noted
that Applegate was present.
Rick Ross -Site Plan -This is located in a A-I District,
located east of Warrior Lane and North of Ashworth Drive.He
would like develop this into a Residential Housing With single
and multi-family units.There will also be a Commercial section,
which would include a strip mall and convenience store.
Rick felt the development would fit well With the Cities
Comprehensive Plan.Rick spoke to Mr.Claire Eason regarding the
located of a convenience store.Mr.Eason stated concern on the
distance of this property or any business selling liquor.The
school would have no problem with a Commercial District as long
as there would be no bar or stores that would sell liquor.
Rick explained the details of this development.Motion by
Blazanin,seconded by Applegate to approve the site plan be taken
to the Council.Motion carried 6 to 0.
Letter from Don Hartley.Windfield grading of property while
under construction.This item should not be brought to the
Planning and Zoning Commission.
Jerry Purdy -Site Plan for All-State Gutter.Motion by
Hoifeldt.seconded by Applegate to approve site plan for All-
State Gutter as submitted.Motion carried 6 to 0.
Zoning Ordinance -John Kursitis.John reViewed a portion of the
Zoning Ordinances.The Commission should review on their own
pages 1 thru 16 before the next meeting.
Motion by Applegate,seconded by Korpanty to adjourn at 9.05
Motion carried 6 to 0.Meeting adjourned.
