Meeting adjourned. Respectfully submitted Brian J.Reds January 26,1993 The Waukee Planning &Zoning Commission was called to order on Tuesday,January 26,1993 by Chairman Lloyd Royer at 7:31 P.M. The following members were present:Applegate,Hoifeldt,Steele, Blazanin,Christianson,Korpanty (late).Absent Council Rep. Frank Duroy. Applegate motioned and Steele seconded to have the minutes read and approved.Motion carried 6 to 0. The sign ordinance discussion took place.Veenstra &Kimm will be doing an ordinance review and will make sure to cover all aspects of the sign ordinance.Applegate motioned to table until John Kursitis was here to discuss it with the Commission.Second by Hoifeldt.Motion carried 7 to 0. Steve Pierce introduced the plans for the industrial Park Preliminary Plat which is located by the Coke Plant.There is an increased interest in this area.This would involve Tiff District.This will be also tabled until the Developers could attend the next meeting. Election of officers took place.Motioned by Applegate,Second by Korpanty to elect Jerry Steele as secretary.Carried 7 to 0. January 26,1993 continued Motioned by Blazanin,Second by Applegate to elect Joan Christianson as Co-Chairman.Carried 7 to 0. Motion by Applegate,Second by Blazanin to elect Lloyd Royer as Chairman.Motion Carried 7 to 0. Moved by Applegate,Second by Blazanin to adjourn at 8:17 P.M. Next meeting will be February 23,1993. Meeting adjourned. Roll was taken and the following members were present:Steele, Blazanin,Applegate,Korpanty,Christianson,Hoifeldt.Absent: Royer.Guests:John Kursitis,Steve Pierce,Frank Duroy-Co. Rep.,Paul Bratney,Gary Hammer,Leo Pelds,Alexander. The minutes of 1/26/93 were read.Motioned by Applegate,second by Hoifeldt moved to approve the minutes.Motion carried 6 to 0. Hickman West Industrial Park preliminary Plat-Leo Pelds representing developers of the Hickman West Industrial Park presented the preliminary plat to the P&Z.A discussion took place about paving over easements,greenbelt right-of-way.They objected to an additional 20ft.easement making the total easement as 50ft.They would like to have a clarification as to what the ordinance states about Bike Trail and Greenbelt Recreation easements. Moved by Hoifeldt to accept the preliminary plat of Hickman West Industrial Park with the stipulation of 30ft.Utility easement revised to include Bike Trail.Second by Steele.Motion carried 6 to 111. School site grading plans-Gary Hammers discussed with the Commission the planned grading plans for the new school site. The entrance would by off Boone Road.They would like to start grading for pads for the school and the parking.They would like to start this process soon as the weather breaks. I j 11I jl II 1
