MEETING.
Chairman Steele called the April 9,2002 meeting of the Planning &Zoning Commission to
order at 7:02 p.m.
Roll Call.The Chairman asked for a roll call and the following Commissioners were present:
Willits,Hoifeldt,Krantz,Steele,and McCoige.Absent:White and Korpanty.
Council Representative present:None.
Agenda Approval.Chairman Steele asked if there were any changes to the agenda.None.
Motion by Commissioner Willits,second by Commissioner Hoifeldt to "Approve the Agenda".
The Commission Chairman asked for a roll call vote:Ayes:Willits,Hoifeldt,McCoige,Krantz,
and Steele.Nays:None.
Adoption of Previous Meetings Minutes.Motion by Commissioner Hoifeldt,second by
Commissioner Willits to "Adopt the March 26,2002 meeting minutes."Chairman Steele asked
for a roll call vote.Ayes:Hoifeldt,Willits,McCoige,Krantz,and Steele.Nays:None.
Approve the Final Re-Plat request for Windfield West Multi-Family Plat 2.Motion by
Hoifeldt,second by Willits to "Approve the final re-plat request for Windfield West Multi-
Family Plat 2".Chairman Steele asked for a roll call vote.Ayes:Hoifeldt,Willits,McCoige,
Krantz,and Steele.Nays:None.
Approve the Ordinance Change Request for §221:Communication Towers.Motion by
Commissioner Willits,second by Commissioner Krantz to "Approve recommending the
Ordinance change for §221 to the City Council for passage with a change in the maximum height
requirement not to exceed 45 feet".Chairman Steele asked for a roll call vote.Ayes:Willits,
Krantz,Hoifeldt,McCoige,and Steele.Nays:None.
Approve the Ordinance Change Request to §303.127:Sidewalk and Trail Construction.
Motion by Commissioner Hoifeldt,second by Commissioner McCoige to "Approve
recommending the Ordinance change for §303 .127 to the City Council for passage after
including the following items:1)if the trail is deemed part of the sidewalk,then the trail should
be constructed of concrete,and 2)change §303.126 to include and Trail to the title Sidewalk
Construction to then read Sidewalk and Trail Construction".Chairman Steele asked for a roll
call vote.Ayes:Hoifeldt,McCoige,Krantz,Willits,and Steele.Nays:None.
Approve the Ordinance Change Request to §304.5(B):Site Plan.Staff,at Councilman
Watts request,presented an ordinance change to §303.l27 that would require one and two family
residential subdivisions to plant at least 2 trees per lot with a I inch minimum caliper or greater.
Motion by Commissioner Hoifeldt,second by Commissioner McCoige to "Approve
recommending the Ordinance change to §304.5(B)to the City Council for passage".Chairman
Steele asked for a roll call vote.Ayes:None.Nays:Hoifeldt,McCoige,Willits,Krantz,and
Steele.

Adjournment.Motion by Commissioner Willits,second by Commissioner McCoige to adjourn
at 7:44 p.m.Chairman Steele asked for a roll call vote:Ayes:Willits,McCoige,Hoifeldt,
