Chairman Steele called the July 10,2001 meeting ofthe Planning &Zoning Commission to
order at 7:05 p.m.
Roll Call.The Chainnan asked for a roll call and the following Commissioners were present:
Steele,McCoige,Willits,White,and Hoifeldt,and Schoeberl.Absent:Korpanty.
Council Representative present:Marvin Berger.
Agenda Approval.Chairman Steele asked if there were any changes to the agenda.None.
Motion by Commissioner Schoeberl,second by Commissioner Willits to "Approve the Agenda".
The Commission Chairman asked for a roll call vote:Ayes:Schoeberl,Willits,McCoige,
White,Hoifeldt,and Steele.Nays:None.
Adoption of Previous Meetings Minntes.Motion by Commissioner Hoifeldt,second by
Commissioner Willits to "Adopt the June 12,2001 meeting minutes".Chairman Steele asked for
a roll call vote.Ayes:Hoifeldt,Willits,McCoige,White,Schoeberl,and Steele.Nays:None.
Approve the Plat of Snrvey for Lot 2 Hunsberger Proprietor Plat 1.Steve Loots requested
the plat of survey to divide his lot to separate the business (Victory Glass)and the agricultural
area for tax purposes.Motion by Commissioner Willits,second by Commissioner McCoige to
"Approve the Plat of Survey for Lot 2 Hunsberger Proprietor Plat 1".Chairman Steele asked for
a roll call vote.Ayes:Willits,McCoige,White,Hoifeldt,Schoeberl,and Steele.Nays:None.]
Approve the Rezoning of the Wankee Public Library Property from A-I to C-4.Motion by
Commissioner Hoifeldt,second by Commissioner Willits to "Approve the rezoning of the
Waukee Public Library Property form A-I (Agricultural District)to C-4 (Office Park
Commercial District)".Chairman Steele asked for a roll call vote.Ayes:Hoifeldt,Willits,
McCoige,White,Schoeberl,and Steele.Nays:None.
Approve the Comprehensive Plan for the City of Waukee.Gary Lozano representing RDG
Crose Gardner Shukert presented the draft copy of the Comprehensive Plan and a brief outline of
the plan.Motion by Commissioner Willits,second by Commissioner Hoifeldt to "Approve the
Comprehensive Development Plan for the City of Waukee".Chairman Steele asked for a roll
call vote.Ayes:Willits,Hoifeldt,White,McCoige,Schoeberl,and Steele.Nays:None.
Adjournment.Motion by Commissioner White,second by Commissioner Schoeberl to adjourn
at 8:29 p.m.Chairman Steele asked for a roll call vote:Ayes:White,Schoeberl,Willits,
Hoifeldt,McCoige,and Steele.Nays:None.
