The meeting was called to order by Chairman Steele at 7:09pm with the following members present:Heskett,Hoifeldt,McCoige and Royer.Korpanty late.Applegate absent. AGENDA APPROVAL The chairman added discussion of the Koethe rezoning that had been approved at the August meeting. PREVIOUS MEETINGS MINUTES Motion by Hoifeldt,second by McCoige to approve July meeting minutes. Ayes:unanimous. COUNTRY CLUB WOODS PLAT 5 -FINAL PLAT Brad Cooper of CEC represented the project,and indicated that the developer was willing to make all changes noted by V &K in their comments,except widening of Olson Drive on the east side of Boone Dr..Staff indicated that the intersection might need to be widened in the future, but did not feel it was necessary now.Brad indicated that the developer would provide additional right-of-way for the possible widening of the intersection. Motion by Korpanty to approve the final plat subject to approval oflegal documentation and bonds by staff,and the increased right-of-way for Olson Dr.at it's intersection with Boone Dr..Seconded by Hoifeldt.Ayes:Unanimous. KOETHE PROPERTY REZONING The members of the commission discussed and clarified staffs misunderstanding of what they intended for rezoning of the 500'wide parcel located on the eastern edge of the property and directed staff to contact Lamar Koethe to explain their intentions and ask for his approval. Motion by Royer that the 500'wide parcel noted as C-l on the proposed zoning map remain as A-I,with the commitment of the city that the parcel would be given a commercial zoning designation based on future development.Seconded by Joan Heskett.Ayes:Unanimous. DISCUSSION ACCESSORY STRUCTURE APPEARENCE The members discussed language that would require accessory structures with over 120 square feet of floor space located in any residential district to have an exterior finish that was similar to the primary dwelling on the property.No decision,as the commission members want this language to be added at the same time as other possible changes. DISCUSSION ON UPDATING THE COMPREHENSIVE PLAN General discussion on how to proceed with updating the city's land use plan,and the scope of changes that would be sought.No decision,just a directive to staff to start to compile information for the commission to use in preparing a request for proposal.
