The Waukee Planning &Zoning Commission was called to order on
Tuesday,February 23,1993 by Co-Chairman Joan Christianson at
7:33 P.M.
Roll was taken and the following members were present:Steele,
Blazanin,Applegate,Korpanty,Christianson,Hoifeldt.Absent:
Royer.Guests:John Kursitis,Steve Pierce,Frank Duroy-Co.
Rep.,Paul Bratney,Gary Hammer,Leo Pelds,Alexander.
The minutes of 1/26/93 were read.Motioned by Applegate,second
by Hoifeldt moved to approve the minutes.Motion carried 6 to 0.
Hickman West Industrial Park preliminary Plat-Leo Pelds
representing developers of the Hickman West Industrial Park
presented the preliminary plat to the P&Z.A discussion took
place about paving over easements,greenbelt right-of-way.They
objected to an additional 20ft.easement making the total
easement as 50ft.They would like to have a clarification as to
what the ordinance states about Bike Trail and Greenbelt
Recreation easements.
Moved by Hoifeldt to accept the preliminary plat of Hickman West
Industrial Park with the stipulation of 30ft.Utility easement j
revised to include Bike Trail.Second by Steele.Motion carried
6 to 0.
School site grading plans-Gary Hammers discussed with the
Commission the planned grading plans for the new school site.
The entrance would by off Boone Road.They would like to start
grading for pads for the school and the parking.They would like
to start this process soon as the weather breaks.

Moved by Korpanty,second by Hoife1dt to approve the grading
plans for the school site.Motion carried 5 to 1.Applegate
voting no.
Zoning ordinance update-John Kursitis told the commission that
going through the ordinances would take the same process as did
the Comprehensive Plan.It would be done in steps ending with a
public hearing and a new zoning map.
Applegate motioned to adjourn,Steele seconded.Motion carried 6
to 0.Meeting adjourned at 8:55 P.M.
The next meeting will be 3/23/93.

Dianna Van Zee was present and taking minutes.

Guests:Co-Rep.Frank Duroy,Mr.Eason,John Kursitis-Veenstra &
Kimm,Mark Gruber-Zoning Administrator,Gary Hammers,Joe Brick.
Motioned by Applegate,second by Hoifeldt to approve the minutes
of 2/23/93.The motioned carried 5 to 0.
The first order of business:School site plan review.Gary
Hammers discussed with the Commission the Final School Site Plan.
They would be getting water from Clive across Boone Drive.
