The June 14,2007 Board of Adjustment meeting was called to order at 5:30 p.m.by Chairman
Oxenford.
Roll Call.The Chairman asked for a roll call and the following Board Members were present:
Oxenford,Colter,Ellis,Phillips.Absent:Lohstreter,Others in attendance:Shannon Lynch,Brad
Deets,Dennis Dowell,Ben Landhauser.
Approve the June 14,2007 Agenda.Motion by Board Member Phillips,seconded by Board Member
Ellis,to "Amend the agenda for June 14,2007 by correcting the date on Item #4 to Apri126,2007."
Ayes:Oxenford,Colter,Ellis,Phillips.Nays:None.Motion carried,
Approve the April 26,2007 Board of Adjustment Minutes.Motion by Board Member Phillips,
seconded by Board Member Ellis,to "Approve the April 26,2007 Board of Adjustment Minutes."
Ayes:Lohstreter,El1is,Oxenford.Phil1ips.Nays:None.Motion carried,
Approve the Application for Doug Ostrander,3340 Ashworth Road -Residential Fence
Variance.Chairman Oxenford asked Director of Planning Brad Deets if the City had received any
correspondence.Mr.Deets said nothing had been received either for or against granting the variance.
Discussion took place on when this property was annexed into the City and what future zoning may be
for this area.Mr.Deets explained that a variance stays with the property and would not be rescinded
due to rezoning.Doug Ostrander informed the board that there is another property in the same area
that has an 8-foot fence that has been in place prior to annexation.Bill Cross,3336 Ashworth Road,J
addressed the Board.Mr.Cross said he was in favor of the Board approving Mr.Ostrander's request J
for an 8-foot fence and further stated that the fence would only be visible from his property.Chairman
Oxenford reviewed the criteria to be met in order to gain approval for a variance.Motion by Board
Member Colter,seconded by Board Member Phillips,to "Approve the Application of Doug Ostrander,
3340 Ashworth Road -Residential Fence Variance."Chairman Oxenford asked for a roll call vote.
Ayes:Oxenford,Phillips.Nays:Colter,Ellis.Motion denied;variance not approved due to the
applicant failing to meet the requirements for a variance.

New Business.None.
Adjournment.Motion by Ellis,seconded by Colter,to adjourn at 5:54 p.m.Ayes:Oxenford,Colter,
Ellis,Phillips.Nays:None.Motion carried.Meeting adjourned.
