The Waukee Board of Adjustment was called to order at 7:12 p.m.
by Chairman Tom Inman.
A roll call was taken and the following Board members were present:
Tom Inman,Florence Anderson,Dennis Thompson.Absent:Brick Volkmer
and Mike Aldrich.
The August 28,1984 minutes were read and approved.
Aldrich and Volkmer arrival at 7:19 p vm ,
Chairman Inman requested any question or objections by effected
property owners.None were received.
Moved by Aldrich,second by Volkmer,to approve a variance for Dr.
Dwight Keller for a garage with no conflict with utility easements,
north side yard established at 28'8",south side yard established
at 52'6";and location of the garage to be 6'9J,,:"from the rear
lot line,and 10'south of existing deck.Carried 5 to O.
Chairman Inman requested any comments or objections from effected
property owners concerning the variance request from John H Storey.
None were received.
Moved by Volkmer,second by Anderson,to approve the construction
of a carport,open on 3 sides,as defined in Webster's dictionary.

Moved by Aldrich,second by Anderson,to direct the City Clerk to
request a definition of a carport from the City Council and to
request clarification with regard to the issue of garages in C-2
zones (specifically in the vicinity of 4th &Laurel Streets).
Carried 5 to O.
Moved by Aldrich,second by Anderson,to adjourn.Carried 5 to O.
