The November 20,2000 Board of Adjustments meeting was called to order at 7:00 p.m.
by Chairman Oxenford.
Roll Call.The Chairman asked for roll call vote and the following Board Members were
present:Oxenford,Ellis,Colter,and Phillips.Absent:Gatrel.
Agenda Approval.Motion by Ellis,second by Phillips to approve the agenda.
Chairman Oxenford asked for a roll call vote.Ayes:Ellis,Phillips,Colter,and
Oxenford.Nays:None.
Approval of the April 4,2000 Board of Adjustment Minutes.Motion by Ellis,
second by Phillips to approve the April 4,2000 Board of Adjustment Minutes.Chairman
Oxenford asked for a roll call vote.Ayes:Ellis,Phillips,Colter,and Oxenford.Nays:
None.
Old Business.None.
Approve the Variance for US West.Larry Ericcson presented the variance to the
Board of Adjustments.The purpose for the roof over the fuel tanks is to maximize the
safety by minimizing the possibility for containment tank to fill up with water.It was
discussed that the area would not be enclosed at a later date and would serve the purpose
of a hood only.Motion by Colter,second by Phillips to "Grant the variance to allow US
West to place a roof over the fuel tanks".Chairman Oxenford asked for a roll call vote.
Ayes:Phillips,Oxenford,and Colter.Nays:Ellis.Motion carried 3-1.
New Business.There was discussion on the terms for the Board of Adjustment
members.Chris Colter's term expires December 31,2000.Motion by Ellis,second by
Phillips to "Recommend to City Council that Chris Colter continue on the Board of
Adjustments for the next term".Chairman Oxenford asked for a roll call vote.Ayes:
Ellis,Phillips,Colter,and Oxenford.Nays:None.
Adjournment.Motion by Ellis,second by Colter to adjourn at 7:20 p.m.The Chairman
asked for a roll call vote:Ayes:Ellis,Colter,Phillips,and Oxenford.Nayes:None
