The business before the Board was a request from Jim Sch1ief d/b/a
Sch1ief &Sons for a variance allowing a used car lot for between
six (6)and twelve (12)cars and ability to distribute Speed King
farm implements.Raymond Burger owns this property &building.
Moved by Aldrich,to issue a 12 month temporary certificate of non-
compliance subject to the City Attorney's opinion to Ray Burger.
The used car lot is not to exceed 12 cars.The farm implements are
not to be self-propelled.Second by Anderson.Motion carri~d 3
to O.
The Board is to reconvene during January 1982.
The Board of Adjustment met on March 13,1982
called to order by acting chairman Tom Inman.
Dennis Thompson and Mike Aldrich.
The Board met to consider a variance for Dick Herbert of 105 Bel-
Aire Drive for a solarium addition which would violate the 30'
front yard provision.

April 26,1982
The Board of Adjustment met on April 26,1982 to discuss the guide
line and by-laws for Board of Adjustment using the Ames and North
Liberty Board of Adjustments as examples.Members present were:
Dennis Thompson,Jerome Volkmer,Tom Inman,and Florence Anderson.
Mike Aldrich arrived later in the meeting.
It was decided to add sc from Ames rules to Article III 4 of North
Liberty rules,to delete Building Inspector and add Zoning Administrator.
In 'Article IV--Decision by the Board;--de1ete 1 and put 2 in as 1
under 'A'and leave 'B'as is.and to change Article IV to V.
Moved by Thompson,second by Volkmer,to appoint Tom Inman as
chairman.Carried 4 to O.
Moved by Volkmer,second by Thompson,to appoint Brian Redshaw as
secretary.Carried 4 to O.

chairman.Carried 4 to O.
Mike Aldrich arrived at this point in the meeting.
Moved by Thompson,second by Anderson to adjourn.Carried 5 to O.
