Minutes of 4/16/98
Members present were:Bill,Dan,Marge,Wayne,Tom T,Tom W,
Renae,Chuck,Linda and Brian.
Chuck moved and Wayne Seconded a motion to approve the
minutes of the 3/19/98 meeting.
Linda moved and Chuck seconded a motion to approve the
minutes of the 4/2/98 meeting.
Discussion was held about a storage building in Centennial
Park.Chuck moved and Tom T.seconded to build a 30ft by 50
ft storage bUilding in the park just east of the currentrestroom.Motion passed.
Discussion was held about having a bike race to help raise
funds for the parks.This will be added to the agenda forthenextmeeting.
We discussed having an easter egg hunt at the park.Since it
is too late to plan one for this year we will table this
discussion until this fall.It will be added to an agendainSeptemberorOctober.
We set May 2nd from 9 to noon as Centennial Park clean Up
day.Each committee member will contact two community
groups to see if they can help with the clean up.
A decision was made to name June 6th as citywide garage saleday.
The Farmer's market will begin on June 3rd and continueeveryWednesdayuntilFall.
We asked about the parkland dedication money that we will
receive from the development of the Booth property.Kurt
told us that it would be about $27,000.
Our next meeting will be Thursday May 7th at 7pm at CityHall.
A motion was made by Brian and seconded by Tom T to adjourn,motion passed.
