*Eagle Scout Project
Matt Austin presented the plans for his Eagle Scout
Project,to scrape and paint five buildings in Centennial Park.
He has measured the buildings and determined how much paint will
be needed.His group will provide brushes,scrapeqsand ladders.
The city will p~ovide the paint.They plan to do the work after
October 1.
*Halloween Hike
Morris Mason is doing the organizing for the Halloween
Hike in Centennial Park.It will be held on Friday and Saturday
nights,October 18 and 19.A planning meeting will be held at the
shelter hous~with the students art~thers that are involved and a
"dry run"is planned for Thursday evening,October 17.T?S~lsar
Last year Dorothy Woods contributed $50 for candy fbr the treat
sacks and the Woman's Club contributed cookies.Kirginia Clark
will make these contacts for treats this year.
*Shelter House in Windfield Park
The slab for the shelter house has been laid and the
support frame installed.The shelter house will be finished this
fall.The playground equipment has arrived and will be installed
next spring.
*Homecoming Bonfire
The Waukee High School Homecoming bonfire will be held
on Thursday,October 10 at 8:00 PM in Cente~nial Park.The location
is to be determined.

The nextAmeeting of the Park Committee will be held on Tuesday,
October 22 at 7:00 PM at the Waukee Public Library.
