RESOLUTION 14-114
APPROVING IOWA DEPARTMENT OF TRANSPORTATION AGREEMENT FOR
TRAFFIC SAFETY IMPROVEMENT PROGRAM FUNDING
IN THE NAME AND BY THE AUTHORITY OF THE CITY OF WAUKEE,IOWA
WHEREAS,the City of Waukee,Dallas County,State of Iowa,is a duly organized Municipal
Organization;AND,
WHEREAS,the City has applied with the Iowa Department of Transportation for $8,104.00 in
funding toward the purchase of two (2)rapid reflective flashing beacons for the pedestrian
crossing at the intersection of Ashworth Drive and Park Road,adjacent to Waukee High School;
AND,
WHEREAS,the Iowa Department of Transportation has provided a Traffic Safety Improvement
Program Funding agreement addressing the purchase;AND,
WHEREAS,the program will fund the purchase of equipment for the rapid reflective flashing
beacons,with the cost of installation paid by the City of Waukee;
NOW,THEREFORE,BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Waukee,Iowa
on this 5th day of May,2014,that the Iowa Department of Transportation Agreement for Traffic
Safety Improvement Program Funding,attached hereto as Exhibit A,be and the same is hereby
accepted and approved by the City Council of the City of Waukee.
