APPROVING MIDAMERICAN ENERGY COMPANY PROPOSAL TO CONVERT HPS
STREET LIGHTS TO LED STREET LIGHTS [ASHWORTH DRIVE AND
6 "STREET]
IN THE NAME AND IIY THE AUTHORITY OF THE CITY OF WAUKEE,108'A
WHEREAS,the City of Waukee,Dallas County,State of Iowa,is a duly organized municipal
organization;AND,
WHEREAS,MidAmerican Energy Company proposes to convert all High Pressure Sodium
(HPS)light fixtures on Ashworth Drive and 6'"Street to Light Emitting Diode (LED)fixtures;
AND,
WHEREAS,the proposal is to convert 36 light fixtures at a total cost to the City of $3,600.00;
AND&
WHEREAS,the City projects an eight-year savings of $3,436.00 as a result of the conversion.
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED by the Waukee City Council on this,the 21"day of
December,2015,that the City of Waukee hereby approves a MidAmerican Energy Company
proposal to convert HPS street lights to LED street lights [Ashworth Drive and 6'"Street].
