AGENDA ITEM: Consideration of approval of a resolution approving construction
drawings for Waukee Crossing Plat 1
FORMAT: Resolution
SYNOPSIS INCLUDING PRO & CON:
The subject property is generally located north of Hickman Road and west of Warrior Lane. The
public improvements associated with this plat include grading, sanitary sewer, storm sewer, and
water main extensions. One public street, NW 2nd Street, will be constructed in this plat as well as
a short extension of NW Venture Drive. Waukee Crossing Plat 1 includes four (4) lots for
commercial development, an outlot for future development, and an outlot for storm water
detention.
FISCAL IMPACT INCLUDING COST/BENEFIT ANALYSIS:

STAFF REVIEW AND COMMENT: Staff is working with the applicant to address all
remaining comments.
RECOMMENDATION: Staff recommends approval of the resolution subject to remaining
staff comments.

RESOLUTION 20-
APPROVING THE CONSTRUCTION DRAWINGS FOR
WAUKEE CROSSING PLAT 1
IN THE NAME AND BY THE AUTHORITY OF THE CITY OF WAUKEE, IOWA
WHEREAS, the City of Waukee, Dallas County, State of Iowa, is a duly organized Municipal
Organization; AND,
WHEREAS, construction drawings have been submitted to the City for Waukee Crossing Plat 1;
AND,
WHEREAS, the construction drawings have been reviewed by the City Engineer and City staff,
and are found to be in general conformance with section §303 - Land Subdivision Ordinance of
the Waukee Municipal Code.
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Waukee, Iowa on
this 6th day of January, 2020, that the Construction Drawings for Waukee Crossing Plat 1 be
approved subject to remaining staff comments.
