AGENDA ITEM:Consideration of approval of a resolution approving the mayor’s
appointment of council liaison, alternate representative, and ex-officio to
the Central Iowa Regional Drinking Water Commission (CIRDWC) for
2020
FORMAT:Mayor’s Appointment and Resolution
SYNOPSIS INCLUDING PRO & CON: The Central Iowa Regional Drinking Water
Commission (CIRDWC) requests the annual appointment of a council
liaison, alternate representative and ex-officio to the Commission.
Mayor Clarke makes the following appointments:
Council Liaison: Council Member Lyon
Alternate Representative: Public Works Director/City Engineer Koester
Ex-officio: Assistant Public Works Director of Operations Royer

RESOLUTION 2020-
APPROVING THE MAYOR’S APPOINTMENT OF ALTERNATE
REPRESENTATIVE AND EX-OFFICIO TO THE CENTRAL IOWA REGIONAL
DRINKING WATER COMMISSION (CIRDWC) FOR 2020
IN THE NAME AND BY THE AUTHORITY OF THE CITY OF WAUKEE, IOWA
WHEREAS, the City of Waukee, Iowa is a duly organized municipality within Dallas
County; AND,
WHEREAS, the City of Waukee is a member of the Central Iowa Regional Drinking
Water Commission (CIRDWC); AND,
WHEREAS, CIRDWC requests the annual appointment of a council liaison, alternate
representative and ex-officio to the Commission; AND,
WHEREAS, for the calendar year 2020, Mayor Courtney Clarke appoints Council
Member Larry R. Lyon as council liaison, Public Works Director/City Engineer Rudy
Koester as alternate representative, and Assistant Public Works Director of Operations
Tim Royer as ex-officio to CIRDWC.
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED by the City of Waukee City Council in
session this 6th day of January, 2020, that it hereby approves the Mayor’s appointments to
the Central Iowa Regional Drinking Water Commission (CIRDWC).
