alternate members of the Des Moines Area Metropolitan Planning
Organization (MPO) and primary and alternate members for the Des
Moines Area MPO Transportation and Technical Committee for the Year
2020
FORMAT:Mayor’s Appointment and Resolution
SYNOPSIS INCLUDING PRO & CON: The City of Waukee must appoint or reappoint
persons to serve on the MPO and MPO TTC committees. No person
appointed as a representative to one committee may serve as a primary
representative or alternate on the other committee. Mayor Clarke makes
the following appointments:
Primary Representative to MPO: Mayor Clarke
Alternate Representative to MPO: City Administrator Moerman
Primary Representative to MPO TTC: Development Services Director

RESOLUTION 2020-
APPROVING THE MAYOR’S APPOINTMENT OF PRIMARY AND ALTERNATE
MEMBERS OF THE DES MOINES AREA METROPOLITAN PLANNING
ORGANIZATION (MPO) AND PRIMARY AND ALTERNATE MEMBERS FOR THE
DES MOINES AREA MPO TRANSPORTATION AND TECHNICAL COMMITTEE
FOR 2020
IN THE NAME AND BY THE AUTHORITY OF THE CITY OF WAUKEE, IOWA
WHEREAS, the City of Waukee, Iowa is a duly organized municipality within Dallas County;
AND,
WHEREAS, the City of Waukee must annually appoint or reappoint representatives to the Des
Moines Area Metropolitan Planning Organization (MPO) and the MPO Transportation Technical
Committee (MPO TTC); AND,
WHEREAS, for the calendar year 2020, Mayor Courtney Clarke appoints herself as primary
representative and City Administrator Tim Moerman as alternate representative to the MPO;
AND,
WHEREAS, for the calendar year 2020, Mayor Courtney Clarke appoints Development
Services Director Brad Deets as primary representative and Public Works Director/City Engineer
Rudy Koester as alternate representative to the MPO TTC.
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED by the City of Waukee City Council in session this
6th day of January, 2020, that it hereby approves the Mayor’s appointments to the Metropolitan
Planning Organization and to the Metropolitan Planning Organization Transportation Technical
Committee.
