HomeMy WebLinkAbout2020-01-13-D02 Easements_825 N Warrior Ln AGENDA ITEM: CITY OF WAUKEE, IOWA CITY COUNCIL MEETING COMMUNICATION MEETING DATE: January 13, 2020 AGENDA ITEM: Consideration of approval of a resolution approving easement associated with 825 N Warrior Lane FORMAT: Resolution SYNOPSIS INCLUDING PRO & CON: The City Council has previously approved a preliminary plat and construction drawings associated with the property located at 825 N Warrior Lane. The proposed subdivision, Alyvia Plat 1 will consist of 13 residential lots. An existing home is located on what will be Lot 1 of the final plat. The developer is completing the public improvements associated with the subdivision but has sold the existing home located on what will be Lot 1. Prior to the completion of the sale, City staff has requested that the developer get approval of a Public Utility Easement and Landscape Buffer Easement that are identified on the Plat. These easements will be recorded prior to the sale of the property. Plat Map Identifying Easement Locations PREPARED BY: Brad Deets REVIEWED BY: PUBLIC NOTICE INFORMATION – NAME OF PUBLICATION: DATE OF PUBLICATION: D2 THE CITY OF WAUKEE, IOWA RESOLUTION 2020- APPROVING EASEMENTS ASSOCIATED WITH PARCEL 19-140 AS IDENTIFIED WITHIN THE PLAT OF SURVEY RECORDED IN BOOK 2019 PAGE 25117 [825 N WARRIOR LANE] IN THE NAME AND BY THE AUTHORITY OF THE CITY OF WAUKEE, IOWA WHEREAS, the City of Waukee, Dallas County, State of Iowa, is a duly organized Municipal Organization; AND, WHEREAS, the City Council has previously approved the preliminary plat for Alyvia Plat 1(Resolution #19-289); AND, WHEREAS, the owner of the property is in the process of completing the public improvements associated with Alyvia Plat 1 but has sold the existing home located on the property which is proposed to be known as Lot 1 of Alyvia Plat 1; AND, WHEREAS, prior to completion of the sale, the owner has proposed to dedicate a public utility easement and landscape buffer easement as identified on the preliminary plat associated with Alyvia Plat 1.
