SYNOPSIS INCLUDING PRO & CON: The proposed resolution authorizes the City
Administrator to submit a sealed bid to Dallas County for property
addressed as 205 Ashworth Drive in Waukee.

THE CITY OF WAUKEE, IOWA
RESOLUTION 2020-
RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE CITY ADMINISTRATOR TO EXECUTE AND
SUBMIT BIDS ON BEHALF OF THE CITY FOR THE PURCHASE OF PROPERTY
OWNED BY DALLAS COUNTY AT 205 ASHWORTH DRIVE, WAUKEE, IOWA.
IN THE NAME AND BY THE AUTHORITY OF THE CITY OF WAUKEE, IOWA
WHEREAS, the City of Waukee, Iowa, is a duly organized municipality within Dallas County;
AND,
WHEREAS, Dallas County is offering for public sale certain property within the City locally
known as 205 Ashworth Drive, Waukee, Iowa; AND,
WHEREAS, the City is interested in acquiring the property; AND,
WHEREAS, the process established by the County with regard to the sale of the property
requires that bids be submitted by April 2, 2020 and thereafter a ‘bid off’ will be held among the
five highest bidders; AND,
WHEREAS, in order to facilitate City participation in this bid process it will be necessary to
designate and authorize a representative to submit bids on behalf of the City.
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Waukee, Iowa on
this the 23th day of March 2020 that it hereby authorizes the City Administrator to execute and/or
submit bid(s) on behalf of the City for the purchase of the property offered for sale by the County
locally known as 205 Ashworth Rd, Waukee, Iowa. Bids submitted by the City Administrator on
behalf of the City shall be considered legally binding.
Passed by the City Council of the City of Waukee, Iowa, and approved this the 23rd day of
March, 2020.
