AGENDA ITEM:Consideration of approval of a resolution setting April 6, 2020, as the
date of public hearing to consider the proposed Capital Improvement
Program for Fiscal Years 2021-2025
FORMAT:Consent Agenda
SYNOPSIS INCLUDING PRO & CON: Code of Iowa §384.15(3) requires a public hearing on
Capital Improvement Programs prior to their adoption.
The City Council was initially schedule to hold the public hearing on this
matter at the March 23, 2020 regular meeting. However, due to a change
of plans for that meeting to be held electronically only due to public
health concerns, the public hearing must be rescheduled and notice
republished in accordance with the Code of Iowa.

RESOLUTION 2020-
SETTING DATE OF HEARING TO CONSIDER THE PROPOSED CAPITAL
IMPROVEMENT PROGRAM FOR FISCAL YEARS 2021-2025
IN THE NAME AND BY THE AUTHORITY OF THE CITY OF WAUKEE, IOWA
WHEREAS, the City of Waukee, Iowa is a duly organized municipality within Dallas
County; AND,
WHEREAS, the City Administrator and Finance Director have submitted a
recommended Capital Improvement Program (CIP) for fiscal years 2021 through 2025;
AND,
WHEREAS, Code of Iowa §384.15(3) requires a public hearing on the recommended
Capital Improvement Program prior to adoption.
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED by the City of Waukee City Council in
session this 23rd day of March, 2020, that:
1.The public hearing on the proposed Capital Improvement Program is hereby fixed
and set for April 6, 2020, at 5:30 p.m. as part of the Waukee City Council regular
meeting, at which time public comments may be heard for or against the matter.
2.The City Clerk is hereby authorized and directed to publish notice of said hearing
in accordance with Code of Iowa §362.3.

NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING
FOR THE CITY OF WAUKEE
Notice is hereby given that the City of Waukee has submitted a recommended Capital
Improvement Program for fiscal years 2021-2025. Copies of the Capital Improvement
Program are on file at the office of City Clerk, Waukee City Hall, 230 W. Hickman Road,
Waukee. Notice is further given that the Waukee City Council will consider adoption of
the recommended Capital Improvement Program after a public hearing to be held at
5:30 p.m. on Monday, April 6, 2020. Due to public health concerns and guidance, in
accordance with Iowa Code Sections 21.4(1)(b) and 21.8, this meeting of the Waukee
City Council will be conducted electronically as holding the meeting in person is
impossible or impractical. However, the public is encouraged to access the meeting
electronically in the manner specified below.
